Trump Shakes Up Campaign Staff
Donald Trump’s presidential bid has some new help at the top. A pair of hires after weeks of lagging poll numbers.
FOX’s Jared Halpern has more from Washington:
Paul Manfort remains the Trump’s campaign chairman, but Brietbart News executive Stephen Bannon is the new CEO of the campaign and GOP pollster Kellyanne Conway the newly named campaign manager:
(Conway) “It’s the busy homestretch to election day and we just need to sort of beef up these senior level roles in a way that we are dividing and conquering.”
Conway’s advising Trump to keep giving the policy style speeches he’s delivered this week.
Trump’s campaign is also buying TV ad time for the first time in the general election, rolling out spots Friday in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida and North Carolina.
