Longtime ESPN Broadcaster John Saunders Dead
The sports world lost one of the greats on Wednesday.
FOX’s Chris Foster reports:
Hannah Storm’s announcement, live on ESPN’s SportsCenter:
(Storm) “Our generous and talented and beloved colleague John Saunders has died.”
John Saunders was 61. He did play by play on various sports and hosted various shows including the sports reporters on Sunday mornings:
(Saunders) “One of the most ridiculous things I’ve heard is someone questioning the leadership of an African-American athlete by saying he isn’t black enough.”
He started working at ESPN in 1986.
