Top Democratic Officials Resign Amid Email Scandal
Amid that email scandal that forced the Democratic National Committee chair to resign, more top party officials are also out.
FOX’s Jared Halpern has more from Washington:
The Democratic National Committee’s CEO, Amy Dacey, has resigned along with the party’s chief financial officer and communications director. Continued fallout from an email hack exposing efforts by some in the party to disparage and undermine Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.
CFO Brad Marshall wrote one of those emails questioning Sanders’ Jewish faith. Communications Director Luis Miranda also quit.
Hours before the start of the party’s convention last week in Philadelphia, DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz resigned. Longtime Democratic strategist Donna Brazile is serving as the interim chair.
