Second Chance for John Hinckley Jr.
A judge is letting the man who tried to kill President Reagan out of a mental hospital and that’s got Reagan supporters angry.
FOX’s Jill Nado has that story:
John Hinckley, the man who tried to kill a President, hoping to impress actress Jodie Foster, will be living with his elderly mother. But Melissa Giller of the Reagan Foundation tells FOX News:
(Giller) “You know he can’t be tried again, double jeopardy, but if he is sane enough to walk the streets, we do believe he should be held accountable.”
But Mike Reagan, the president’s son, sent out a tweet, saying his father forgave Hinckley, “maybe we should do the same.” The Secret Service is going to be keeping tabs on Hinckley, and he’s forbidden from trying to contact Foster.
In Washington, Jill Nado, FOX News.
