President Obama Prepared to Take DNC Stage
President Obama’s been working on his speech for the Democratic National Convention for weeks.
FOX’s Jill Nado has a preview:
The President takes the convention stage in Philadelphia Wednesday with the lofty goal of trying to united a splintered Democratic party.
White House spokesman Eric Schultz wouldn’t give many details, but he did say he would expect the President to hit some positive notes:
(Schultz) “Whether he hits on the fact that health care costs are growing at the lowest rate in decades or that more Americans are graduating high school or that we’ve had the longest stretch of job growth in our nation’s history, we’ll have to tune in.”
But will the President be able to top his wife’s acclaimed speech to the party faithful? Schultz says First Lady Michelle Obama has set the bar high with her Monday address.
