ISIS Claims Responsibility for Gruesome Attack on French Priest

ISIS is boasting that it carried out a deadly attack Tuesday in France during mass in a Catholic church.

FOX’s Simon Owen reports from London:

Pope Francis has been informed of today’s attack in a French church in Normandy. The pope says he’s shocked by the ‘absurd violence’.

(Burke) “We’re particularly concerned that this barbaric killing took place in a church, a sacred place, and a place in which God’s love is proclaimed.”

Greg Burke, Vatican spokesman added the Pope is praying for the victims, and repeats his condemnation of all forms of violence and hatred.

French president Francois Hollande says two terrorists who claim to be from ISIS killed the priest and took the hostages. Police have killed the terrorists.
