Oldest Park Ranger Back at Work

The nation’s oldest full time park ranger is back on the job following a vicious attack that threatened to permanently sideline her.

    FOX’s Gary Baumgarten reports:

To applause from co-workers, 94-year-old Betty Reid Soskin returned to her post as a ranger at the Rosie the Riveter/World War 2 Home Front National Historical Park in Richmond, California.

(Soskin) This is something I have wanted for the last several days. I’ve had a hard time marking time until I could be in this building.

Back on June 27th, she was viciously attacked by an intruder in her nearby apartment. A man who broke in while she slept. She woke up to find him going through a jewelry box in her bedroom.

The man repeatedly punching her when he saw her dialing 911 for help.

Richmond cops are still looking for the guy.
