Extra: Dana Perino & Hitmaker J.T. Harding On Success, Country, And ‘Music City’
From Detroit Rock City to the top of the country charts–and now, to the bright lights of Manhattan.
With over one billion streams and counting, powerhouse songwriter J.T. Harding is the creative force behind massive number-one hits for country music’s biggest stars, including Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Darius Rucker, and Dierks Bentley. He also co-wrote the global smash hit “Smile” with Uncle Kracker.
Now, he’s bringing a taste of Nashville to the Theater District.
Special guest host Dana Perino recently sat down with J.T. Harding on the FOX News Rundown to discuss his journey to music stardom and his latest venture: Music City. Playing at St. Luke’s Theatre in Times Square, this acclaimed Off-Broadway musical tells the story of aspiring singers chasing their dreams at the “Wicked Tickle” bar.
J.T. shared with Dana what it takes to write a hit, the transition from radio to the stage, and how he’s capturing the heartbeat of Nashville in the heart of New York City.
He also had some incredible stories about meeting and sometimes working with some of the biggest music stars, including Prince, Keith Urban, and Kevin Chesney.
We made some edits for time for our weekday version of the Rundown, but we know you will want to hear more from JT and Dana as the conversation was full of great advice, stories, and laughs.
Today on Fox News Rundown Extra, we will share all of Dana Perino’s incredible interview with country songwriter JT Harding.
