Evening Edition: The Supreme Court Strikes Down Trump Tariffs

The Supreme Court has blocked President Trump’s use of an emergency law to impose sweeping tariffs on most U.S. trading partners. In a 6-3 decision, the court argued that Trump’s use of IEEPA to control tariffs would expand executive power at the expense of the other branches of government. President Trump blasted the court saying they must have been influenced by foreign powers.

FOX’s Tonya J. Powers speaks with Elaine Dezenski, Director and Head of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies’ Center on Economic and Financial Power, who says while this is a blow to the Trump Administration’s economic policy, they have many other ‘pathways to achieve their tariff strategy.’
