Ohio Republican Congressman and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to share his thoughts on the Trump administration’s approach to ending the war between Russia and Ukraine as quickly as possible.
“I liked what the Marco Rubio, the secretary of state, did an interview. I thought he said a number of just really good things and laid it out well. And one of the things he said is, you know, President Trump has his own unique style of negotiating, but you can’t argue with the results. And I would go back in the foreign policy realm, go back to his first term, when he made the decision to carry through with the promise he made the American people during that 2016 campaign, namely, to put the embassy in Jerusalem. And everyone at the State Department told him all, you can’t do that. All the career people, all the people smarter than, you know, Jimmy Failla and Jim Jordan, they all told, him no, you can’t do that. And he goes, no, I’m going to do. Because I told the American people he did it. And I would say that more than anything. Laid the foundation, established a framework where they could actually get the Abraham Accords and change things like they did, so that’s President Trump. And now he’s looking to do something. He said he was going to try to end this war in Ukraine. He’s trying to do it. And as Marco said on, I think one of the shows this weekend, he said, tell me, another world leader who’s doing the kind of work President Trump’s doing to actually interesting no one’s working like he is to accomplish this. And yet he gets this kind of treatment from this guest in the Oval Office. It made no sense to me. And I think the American people are strongly on President Trump side.”
Jimmy also asks Rep. Jordan to weigh in on President Trump announcing he will be issuing a complete pardon for the late baseball legend Pete Rose. Listen to the podcast to hear what else they discussed!
