“I think if you had told someone maybe a year ago that this is where we’d be, right, that there would be this department to begin with, let alone the fact that it would be run by Elon Musk, nobody would believe you. So I think it’s a lot to absorb, but it kind of is par for the course. Right. This is what comes with a Donald Trump administration. This is what comes with having someone who is not beholden to anyone, really in the office of the president, and who brings someone like that with him, Being Elon Musk. So I think it’s special, I think, for people to realize what could be done in politics, in DC, in the swamp, obviously, the fact that we know that nothing like this has been done before, and the fact that Democrats are as angry about it as they are, I think it’s very symbolic. And I think what’s most important is actually the precedent that it sets. Right? Because we’re doing this now. But Donald Trump’s only in office for four years. So what happens next? Who is going to continue this? And how will either Republicans continue it or Democrats who have attacked it for so long, continue to somehow prove that they also put the American people first, like Donald Trump and Elon Musk are doing right now.”
