Elections Correspondent for The Federalist Brianna Lyman joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to give her take on Kentucky Republican Senator Mitch McConnell voting against three of President Trump’s Cabinet nominees, including newly minted Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
“McConnell is part of the old Republican cohort that does not have a place in America anymore. He had a place during the Bush years, right? That is the McConnell, Bush, those are the same types of Republicans. But American voters have moved away from the RINO type situation we’re seeing, and they want a leader who puts Americans first. Mitch McConnell does not put Americans first. He may put Kentucky first. He gets the gravy train for them all the time, which is why he wins reelection handsomely. But he doesn’t represent the Republicans of America. And I guess he’s not supposed to. He’s the senator, but he’s out of lockstep with what the average Republican voter is thinking.”
Jimmy and Brianna also share their thoughts on some of the wasteful foreign spending being uncovered by the Department of Government Efficiency. To hear what else they talked about, listen to the podcast!
