Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to shed light on the urgent need for people in the path of Hurricane Milton to evacuate their homes immediately.
“I think the more you talk about past storms where people did not get out and wish they had and said, what was I thinking? Why did I not heed this warning? You know, the real concern, of course, these are going to be powerful winds. I mean, we’re already at a Cat four, decreased a little from a Cat five, but you just never know what this thing is going to do. But the storm surge, you know, they’re predicting could be 15ft in some areas. So put that in perspective, that could be three times your height. So it’s really dangerous. And I just don’t think people put that in perspective when something like this is approaching. Because, you know, in Florida, you’ve lived here a long time. Maybe you’ve eked it out a couple of times. That doesn’t mean you will this time. So that’s why the messaging is so important. And it’s time to be adults, time to strap on that responsibility and protect our families and look and see where we can go to stay safe.”
