Oklahoma Republican Senator Markwayne Mullin joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to shed light on a cordial meeting he recently had with Teamsters President Sean O’Brien, after former President Trump helped orchestrate a peace agreement between the two men.
“He says, I’m in a predicament right now. He says, my members are more Republican now than they’ve ever been. He says, in fact, if we were to poll them, I would say most of them are probably going to vote for Trump over Biden, at that time. And he says, now, I’m a Democrat, true blue Democrat, and I’m going to die a Democrat, he says, but I also represent, quote, my brothers and I’ve got to be where my brothers are. And so fast forward, he goes out and I mean, we invite him to the RNC. You know, he gave a speech, that’s not really what you typically here at a at a Republican convention. Him and I talked afterwards and he says, I want everybody to know who I am and where I stand. And so there’s no preconceived ideas. I said, Man, I commend you for going out there and just speaking it the way that it is for you. And then then he says, the DNC has invited me. I don’t think they will. And in fact, they’re trashing me. And he says and they forget we’ve been there. The Teamsters have been there, my brothers, and I’ve been with them for decades. And just this short memory, it’s not us that left, they left. Their policies is what’s affecting us today. They’re affecting our jobs. And he says if things don’t change, I don’t know where my brothers are going to be. And sure enough, he did a poll and almost 60% are for Trump. And he’s neutral in this thing. And we’d love for his endorsement, but I think Trump is very smart by reaching out to him early on, saw an opportunity there. And to Sean’s credit, instead of the, you know, the United Auto Workers union member, that president goes out there and throws all his members under the bus because now they’re saying that their numbers will be similar to the Teamsters. Sean actually represented the majority of his brothers.”
Senator Mullin also tells Jimmy why Vice President Kamala Harris is being disingenuous about Trump’s role in nixing the bipartisan border deal that was voted down by the Senate earlier this year. Listen to the podcast to hear what else they discussed!
