Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) spoke to Brian Kilmeade about the second assassination attempt on Donald Trump. Cornyn calls the Secret Service an absolute disaster. Cornyn thinks we do need to reform the Secret Service and provide adequate protection for all of our political candidates that the Secret Service is supposed to cover. Cornyn called out the rhetoric form the left calling Trump a threat to democracy. Cornyn believes the threat to democracy is inciting an unstable person to commit an act of violence due to politics.
Cornyn also discussed Texas Governor Greg Abbott declaring the Venezuelan gang, Tren De Aragua, a foreign terrorist organization as well as his Southern Border Transparency Act, which would require the White House to release data on catch-and-release and other unlawful migrant release programs, that passed unanimously in the senate with no Democrat objecting to the bill.
