Former Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, who served as the 62nd Governor of Maryland from 2015-2023 and is currently running for Senate in the state, joined the Guy Benson Show to discuss his upcoming Senate race as November quickly approaches. Hogan, a Republican candidate in a deep blue state, talked about his successful record as governor, his high approval rating, and why he’s determined to fight for Maryland. Gov. Hogan had this to say on what his role in the Senate would be as an independent voice:
“But the reality is, look, I’m going to be a maverick. I mean, everybody knows my record. I’m going to be a guy down there in the middle of everything. I’m going to make sure Maryland has a seat at the table and that I’m a critical swing vote to see if we can make some things happen down there, because almost nothing ever happens in Washington. And I’m going to reach across the aisle. If I disagree, I’m going to stand up and say so. And if I agree, then I’m going to try to work together with anyone to get it done.”
