Editor at Large of The Spectator Ben Domenech joins Fox Across America With guest host Paul Gleiser to give his take on the path forward for the Democratic Party if President Biden ultimately decides to step down as their nominee.
“I Personally don’t think that they have any other option than going to her . But there’s one other factor that I think we should consider. You know, we’re on the eve of a Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. And you and I both know from history that these conventions have a bounce, and that bounce can range significantly. I mean, let’s not expect for a second that Donald Trump is going to get some kind of Al Gore level bounce. He had something 20 plus points or something like that he put up coming out of his convention. But one of the things that I think we have to consider here is if he comes out with, let’s say, a modest bounce, let’s say it’s five points. That’s something that in in swing states across the country, that’s huge. He’s currently up by a little more than five points in Pennsylvania. Imagine him going up 8 to 10 points in Pennsylvania, a state that the White House and the campaign have made clear is one of the three states that they need to win in order to win reelection. They’ve said it’s, you know, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin. If he goes up 8 to 10 points in Pennsylvania and you are a donor to the Democratic Party, your hair is on fire. You are saying, we have got to make a change. And I think that that’s one of the reasons why this is not over yet, and that Kamala is going to get a look.”
