Singer and songwriter John Rich joins Fox Across America With guest host Todd Piro to shed light on the inspiration behind his brand-new single, “Revelation”.
“First of all, you got to know I grew up around a dad who’s been preaching since he was 19. So I’ve read Revelation in many other books, Daniel, Second Thessalonians, books that talk about end times and prophecy in the Book of Revelation. A lot of those things weren’t even possible until the advent of technology. For instance, how do you track everybody on the face of the earth and know how they spend their money? So that used to be a question where even my dad would say, we couldn’t understand how the mark of the beast could ever be a reality, because how can you track everybody on the earth? Of course, I’m grinning at that now, going, well, we know everybody on the earth is tracked. It’s very simple to know how they spend their money and what they’re buying. I look at what’s happening in the world today and in our country, and it is if you’re not a Christian and you don’t believe what the Bible says, and the next thing I’m going to say will not mean anything to you, it does not change the fact that it is the truth. And it says, we wrestle not with flesh and blood, but with principalities and powers and the rulers of the darkness of this world. And so when you talk about Biden and Trump, is that the battle? Is it left and right? Is that the battle? Is it the culture war? What’s the real war? According to the book, it’s all in the spiritual realm, and it manifest here in the in the physical. So that’s what this song is all about.”
