Dr. Schanzer had this to say on the most recent ceasefire offer:

“The question is,which Israeli was involved in this proposal? We just saw the exit of a guy named Benny Gantz, who’s the former chief of staff of the IDF and the Israeli military. He just left the government, and he’s been having side meetings with the Biden administration. He’s been having side meetings with Blinken. He came to Washington against the wishes of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who’s no angel, by the way. But this guy went behind Netanyahu’s back. And I would be shocked if we at some point found out that he was negotiating this. Without necessarily getting buy in. And, I think that ultimately it looks to me anyway, like the Biden administration is meddling in Israeli politics.”
