A great deal of research has found that “Gen Z,” specifically those born after 1995, is the generation being hit the heaviest by the mental illness epidemic — as rates of anxiety, depression, and suicide skyrocket among young people. What is the biggest change this generation has experienced in life? The birth of smartphones and social media.
