The recent spate of anti-Israel protests on college campuses has raised a larger question of who is running schools, institutions, and newsrooms. In many cases, university faculty have come out in support of student protesters, despite some demonstrations featuring violence and anti-Semitism. Now in the midst of graduation season, students at some colleges have staged protests during commencement addresses, leading some of these ceremonies to be canceled altogether. Jury selection began this week in a Manhattan courtroom for Senator Robert Menendez’s (D-NJ) corruption trial. The New Jersey lawmaker takes to the court for a second time, facing bribery charges, yet this time involving hundreds of thousands of dollars in gold bars. Menendez has expressed that he will not run for reelection in the Garden State as a Democrat, keeping open the possibility of running as an independent.
