Chairman of the Republican National Committee Michael Whatley joins Fox Across America With guest host Jason Chaffetz to discuss the importance of having multiple debates between President Biden and former President Trump in the weeks leading up to the 2024 presidential election.
“Traditionally it’s been done by the Presidential Debate Commission. We admittedly have a lot of problems with the debate commission because they’re only trying to set up debates after people have already started voting. And we think it’s very important for people to, like, hear the debate and look at the contrast before people start voting. And I think that, you know, we’ll kind of see what this process involves. But, I think from the president’s team, in our perspective, will talk directly to the Biden campaign. We will talk to the debate commission. We’ll talk to anybody, anywhere about trying to get these two men on stage. It is absolutely critical for the American voters to see the contrast between these two men, and have a discussion about the four years that we had under President Trump and the four years that we’re living through with Joe Biden.”
