Evening Edition: Texas Immigration Law Back On Hold
A federal appeals court has put a Texas law that allows local police to arrest and deport migrants accused of illegally entering the United States back on hold. This decision came just hours after the Supreme Court decided the law can be enforced. Another obstacle in implementing this law is that Mexico said it will not accept migrants expelled by Texas “under any circumstances.”
FOX’s Eben Brown speaks with Lora Ries, Director of the Border Security and Immigration Center at The Heritage Foundation and former Department of Homeland Security official for the Trump Administration, who says the situation on the ground does not match the action being taken.
