Light For Today” is my hope for friends, family, colleagues and everyone to find God in everyday life; to find opportunities to draw closer to God in the simplest of activities, as well as the most profound and challenging. The lighthouse has been for me a visual reminder of God’s first commandment, “to have no other gods before Me;” of a beacon of His sovereignty. But also, a lighthouse offers a promise of safety, warning travelers of unforeseen danger and guiding them along their journey. It symbolizes hope and salvation. Similarly, God, who is the Light of the World, is our refuge, leading and beckoning us to safety during the storms of life. I wrote these pages so I would be reminded daily of God’s Omnipotence and Omnipresence and that His love is as near as the air we breathe.
