Anchor of “The Story” Martha MacCallum joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to give her assessment on the current state of the 2024 GOP presidential race following former President Trump’s resounding victory in the Iowa caucuses.

“I think that Ron DeSantis is young. He’s smart. He learns on the fly. He’s learning a lot right now. We also don’t know what’s going to ultimately happen. Right? There are other shoes to drop in this whole thing.  There are third party, you know, ghosts hanging around that are going to maybe have an impact on all of this. So I think if you’re Ron DeSantis or Nikki Haley, you’re looking at the saying, there may be a need for a backup plan at some point in all of this. And so I wouldn’t write any of them off yet. Remember, you’ve had 100,000 people who didn’t want to watch either NFL game come out to caucus. And that’s all we have on the map right now. That is it. So hold your horses, everybody. We got a little bit of a way to go here. I would just encourage everyone to continue to keep playing the game.”

Martha and Jimmy also talk about the frigid conditions voters in Iowa had to endure in order to caucus earlier this week. Listen to the podcast to hear what else she had to say!
