The Southern border has long been an issue Republicans on Capitol Hill have been determined to tackle, however, it’s been difficult for bipartisan compromise. Though, as a record-breaking number of migrants continue to cross the border, overwhelming border patrol agents and cities across America are slowly finding common ground. From the same state but on different sides of the aisle, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Congressman Henry Cuellar (D-TX) share what policies they believe can realistically gain unanimous support and what asylum policies they believe need changing.
