Dr. Nicole Saphier joins guest host Harry Hurley on Fox Across America to discuss this winter’ triple threat of illnesses: COVID, RSV and the Flu.

I would say if you test positive for COVID 19. Similarly, if you test positive for the flu or even RSV and you do take care of yourself, you first of all, you probably shouldn’t be going to work if you’re sick. You don’t want to get other people sick. I mean, yeah, you may feel well enough to go to work, go out, go shopping, go grocery shopping. But, you know, the people around you, maybe they don’t want to get sick. Maybe they have more risk factors that you don’t know about. So you always want to stay home. You’re healthy, get as hydrated as possible, stay in touch with your doctor. I mean, for the most part, especially with COVID 19, you know, it’ll resolve your symptoms, resolve in a few days. And it really just you know, you don’t even necessarily need medication for it. Now, some people who are higher risk or have some risk factors, you know, there’s Paxlovid. And there are some other things that physicians will consider, especially, you know, if they’re worried about you. So I always say you should stay in touch with your primary care doctor and also just try to avoid being around other people. You know, No one really that makes you a Grinch during this holiday season. If you go out, know when you’re sick and you don’t knowingly infect other people, that’s not right.”

Dr. Saphier also discusses who she recommends get the COVID and Flu vaccines this year. To hear what else she has to say, listen to the podcast!
