Virginia Republican Congressman Ben Cline joins Fox Across America With guest host Jason Chaffetz to give his take on whether GOP members will soon be able to come to a consensus on who their candidate for House Speaker is going to be.
“Tempers are hot. Everybody’s upset. Everybody wants to do the business of the people and get on with electing a speaker. Jim Jordan has put his name in. I’m very grateful to him for doing that. He is my Judiciary Chairman and has done a great job there. But I want him as speaker. And so I and a number of others have pushed him to put his name in the hat. And Austin Scott, who is another colleague from Georgia, is going to run against him. And, you know, there’s nothing wrong with a choice for members, but I do support Jordan. And I hope that he will emerge with the votes necessary to move forward to the floor.”
