Alex Murdaugh has sued for a new trial in the case against him for the murder of his wife and son in June of 2021, amid reports of jury tampering by the clerk of court in Colleton County Rebecca Hill.
Defense Attorney Jim Griffin for Murdaugh joins Martha to lay out the allegations being levied against the clerk of court Rebecca Hill, and why her actions would be grounds to receive a new trial for the convicted murderer, and discusses the process of appealing the original conviction.
Later, Griffin explains why there would be a need to change the location of a retrial in order to ensure there is an impartial jury, and what Alex and Buster Murdaugh’s responses have been to the allegations of jury tampering.
