Josh Rogin, Washington Post columnist, spoke to Brian Kilmeade about how the Biden administration and some GOP presidential candidates do not have the right plan or ideas to deal with the threat from China. Rogin calls out Vivek Ramaswamy for his plan to make friends with Russia so they will turn on China. Rogin says that is not going to happen because the two countries are thick as thieves as they are both run by totalitarian, mass-murdering dictators united by their shared hatred of us. Rogin stresses we need to get that through our noggins that this is not 1972, it is 2023 and China and Russia mean us harm. Turning to the Biden administration’s approach to China, Rogin took issue with US Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo looking to reduce misunderstandings of US national security policies with China. Rogin finds it bizarre for a top US official to say we are not going to talk about anything or negotiate on anything and just say mission accomplished. Rogin believes Raimondo wants to be president and is trying to bolster her bona fides on foreign policy but says she is talking out of both sides of her mouth – trying to be a hawk while trying to please the business community and ignoring everything the Chinese Communist Party does that is not in the interests of America.
