News Editor for Townhall.com Katie Pavlich joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to shed light on how her comments about former President Trump’s indictment in Georgia were completely misconstrued by some in the media.

“We were talking about the indictment. I made the point that because of what legal experts were saying about the charges coming from a local D.A in Georgia, and I’ve talked to people about this, that this would have an effect on people who want to be involved in the political process. I mean, if you think you’re going to get indicted for being an attorney for a Republican presidential candidate, not to mention a Republican president, you might think twice about getting involved in politics. And this is not the first time this has happened, by the way. The federal government went after the Tea Party movement with the IRS to do the exact same thing right before the 2010 midterm elections. They were opposing Barack Obama’s agenda and the IRS went after them and was targeting these very, you know, salt of the earth grassroots folks who had these tiny little Tea Party groups in places like Alabama and Texas and Kansas and Arizona, with threatening letters, demanding audits of all of their paperwork, putting them out of, you know, essentially financially, personally, they were completely destroyed by the IRS. I mean, they’ve done this before. And, you know, Democrats always set the standards with the rules. And then once they’re enforced against them, they don’t understand why or where they came from. And so all I was saying is they should be careful about, you know, criminalizing the process of asking for recounts in this country, because Democrats do that a lot.”
