“Safe Sleeping Sites” in San Diego

As the homeless crisis worsens in California, one SoCal city has come up with a solution.

I’m Tomi Lahren, find out next.

If you’ve been to any major California city lately, you know the homeless problem is expansive and worsening.

Taxpayers have pumped billions into affordable housing initiatives, but nothing improves.

So enter San Diego with their own solution, “safe sleeping sites.”

These sites basically amount to controlled camping and are supposed to serve as sanctioned areas for the homeless to live given the city recently banned homeless encampments.

San Diego has more than 2,000 people living in the streets and according to the Department of Housing and Urban Development, has the 4th highest homeless population in the nation.

These “safe sleeping sites” might sound like a good idea, in theory, but if you’ve spent any time in California, you know that shelter alone doesn’t solve a massive mental health and addiction problem.

This is a short term solution to a massive crisis and California needs to stop bandaging this issue.
