Former Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich joins Fox Across America With guest host Rich Zeoli to share his thoughts on the Supreme Court striking down the Biden administration’s $400 billion student loan forgiveness plan.

“One of the things that I keep trying to emphasize when I have fought against the higher education establishment here in Arizona is that there’s not enough competition in the marketplace. And then you have these college accrediting agencies that keep out, you know, private universities or online universities from competing. So what has happened in the last 20 years, if you look at tuition at our public universities, it has gone straight up like a rocket ship. I mean, nothing has gone up more. I mean, when you look at like cell phones and computers and TVs, even cars, you look at them adjusted for inflation, it keeps constant or slightly even down. But when you look at college tuition, it goes straight up like a rocket. And that is because the more government gets involved in something, the more it subsidizes it, the more the costs are increased. And so what’s happened here in the United States is because of the availability of student loans and people don’t realize they’re borrowing all this money, the colleges, you know, keep jacking up tuition. People keep going in debt. And now that they’re in all this debt, they want it to be canceled. And it’s fundamentally unfair. It’s economically unwise. And now the court has ruled unconstitutional, fortunately.”
