President Biden and Vice President Harris met with the heads of major big tech companies that are paving the way for innovation in artificial intelligence, and the President warned them, “What you’re doing has enormous potential and enormous danger.”
The President is not the only one concerned about the risks of AI. Some of the most prominent tech figures and AI researchers signed an open letter calling for a 6-month pause on AI technology development while we collectively agree on necessary safeguards and regulations.
Tristan Harris, co-founder of the Center for Humane Technology and former Google ethicist, signed this letter and has long been warning about the ‘existential threat’ posed by unrestricted AI. Last week, Tristan Harris joined the Rundown and host Jessica Rosenthal to explain what kind of danger unregulated AI poses and how exactly it could harm humanity in the long run.
Due to time limitations, we could not include all of the conversations in our original segment. On the FOX News Rundown Extra, you will hear our entire interview with Tristan Harris and learn about what artificial intelligence can do and why leaders must take action against the dangers it presents.
