North Carolina Seeks Ban on Participation Trophies

One state wants to ban participation trophies in youth sports and hey, I’m all for it.

I’m Tomi Lahren, more next.

This notion of “everyone gets a trophy” might seem kind, gracious and inclusive, but I believe it has actually led to an entitlement generation.

But one state is looking to fix that. North Carolina state lawmakers are seeking a ban on those participation trophies in youth sports.

Now this ban would only apply to those sports and activities under the authority of a local government but it’s a good start.

The bill would make accolades received be based on accolades earned. What a concept.

Some local coaches don’t like the idea and feel that just showing up deserves a prize. ERR WRONG!

Showing up and fulfilling a basic commitment shouldn’t need to be rewarded, it should be expected.

This is why kids are so whiny and entitled. Adults and parents have sheltered young people far too much and for far too long.

We ought to be teaching kids to work hard and excel, not meet the basic requirement of breathing and showing up.

Guess what, if you’re not first, you’re last!
