Extra: The Mexican Cartels Are A Growing Threat. Should The US Military Take Action?

The country was outraged when they heard the news of four Americans traveling to Matamoros, Mexico, was shot and abducted last week. Two of them would wind up dying.

The shocking incident put an even bigger spotlight on America’s relationship with Mexico, the border crisis, and the growing threat of the cartels.

Former US Ambassador to Mexico Chris Landau joined the Rundown’s Jessica Rosenthal this past week to explain how cartel violence has made Mexico a dangerous travel destination, and why he believes designating these cartels as terrorist organizations could create more complications than solutions.

Amb. Landau, who served during President Donald Trump’s administration, also discussed President Biden’s border policies and why he thinks US military action in Mexico, as some in Congress are calling for, would be a mistake.

Due to time limitations, we could not include all of the discussion in our original segment. On the FOX News Rundown Extra, you will hear our entire interview with Former US Ambassador to Mexico Chris Landau and learn more of his take on the border, the cartels, and our relationship with our neighbor south of the border.
