Nikki Haley: The U.S. Has To Stop Trying To Buy Friends
Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and 2024 GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to explain why it’s completely ludicrous that the U.S. spent $46 billion on foreign aid last year.
“I saw this at the U.N. You have countries and they’d stab us in the back, but they turn around and have their hand out wanting money. Stop giving money to our enemies. We’re giving $2 billion to Pakistan. Trump stopped that, which was great. But now Biden’s walking that back again. You look at Iraq, I mean, they’re dealing with all the Iranian proxies that are saying death to America. Why would we do that? Zimbabwe, like the least friendly American, African country that you’ve got, and we’re giving them all this hundreds of millions of dollars. It’s unacceptable. And then China, we’re giving money for the environment. Like, come on. It’s our number one adversary and you’re going to give money to the environment. Communist Cuba, we named them a terrorist organization, yet we’re giving them money. All of these things, it doesn’t make sense to give money like that. We should be strategic. Stop trying to buy friends. You can’t buy friends with money. It doesn’t work.”
Plus, Nikki tells Jimmy about what promoted her to challenge former President Trump for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. Listen to the podcast to hear what else she had to say!
