Extra: One Of Ukraine’s Volunteer Fighters Explains Why He Joined A ‘War of Extermination’
This past week marked one year since Russia first invaded Ukraine. Since then, the war has taken a devastating toll on the region, with hundreds of thousands of soldiers dead and millions of Ukrainians displaced from their homes.
Despite being outnumbered and outgunned, much of Ukraine remains free thanks in part to the civilians and other volunteers who joined the war effort and defended the country.
Prior to the invasion, Dan Bilak was a family man and a lawyer living in Kyiv. After the invasion, he made the decision to join the Territorial Defense Forces of Ukraine and do his part.
Bilak joined the Rundown and host Dave Anthony to break down the horrifying realities of war in Ukraine and discuss why he remains confident they can defeat Russia.
The Canadian-born Ukraine resident also explained how important the international support has been and why he urges America and the West to continue supplying weapons and ammunition.
Due to time limitations, we could not include all of the discussion in our original segment. On the FOX News Rundown Extra, you will hear our entire interview with Dan Bilak and you’ll get an even better understanding of why the people in Ukraine remain so determined despite all the suffering.
