Who Was Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.?

This week, the Author of Letters to Martin: Meditations on Democracy in Black America, Dr. Randal Maurice Jelks, joins Abby in the classroom for a lesson on the incomparable Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Dr. Jelks reveals how MLK’s strong Christian faith was the catalyst for his trailblazing role in the Civil Rights Movement. Later, Dr. Jelks shares with Abby how he believes we can honor Dr. King’s legacy in our daily lives, not just on MLK day.
