Sean Davis: The Prolonged Battle For House Speaker Is Actually Good For Our Country
Co-Founder and CEO of The Federalist Sean Davis joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to share his reaction to all of the craziness surrounding the voting process for House Speaker.
“To me, the scandal is not that we’re going to spend a couple of days or weeks picking a Speaker of the House. To me, the scandal is that this process isn’t being repeated over and over again for every single leadership position in Congress and in the Republican Party. Why is it that Kevin McCarthy, of all people, is the only one who’s having to fight for this promotion? Like, we didn’t see that in the Senate with a guy who just fails over and over again. Every year, we should just have a total housecleaning. Throw everyone in the Octagon. They have to fight for it. Whoever is still standing at the end wins. That would be better, I think, than this business of the oldest idiot in the room or the guy who’s been there the longest is the one who gets the most powerful job. That seems idiotic to me.”
Plus, Sean and Jimmy talk about why President Biden is not attending Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI’s funeral. Listen to the podcast to hear what else he had to say!
