Today marks the last day of voting for Georgia’s Senate runoff election. There has been a surge in early voting as over 1.8 million Georgians have already cast their ballots in the days leading up to the election. A runoff election was triggered between incumbent Democrat Senator Raphael Warnock and football star Herschel Walker after neither candidate received a majority of the vote in November. While Democrats already have the tie-breaking vote in the 50-50 Senate, the Georgia race will determine how much leverage they have in the new Congress.
