New York City landlords may soon be prohibited from running criminal background checks on prospective tenants if the Liberal city council gets its way.
Mayor Eric Adams is seemingly already on board. Go figure.
It’s called the “Fair Chance for Housing Act” and if it passes, landlords will be unable to perform background checks on future tenants- EVEN THOSE CONVICTED OF MURDER and other violent crimes!
Nevermind the safety and security of other tenants, Democrats insist it’s discriminatory to consider someone’s criminal past and track record when approving their residency.
Why is it that thugs, felons and convicts are to be given the benefit of the doubt, coddled and protected at the expense of decent law-abiding Americans and their families?!
New York, you get what you vote for! If you would’ve picked better leadership a few weeks ago, you wouldn’t be in this spot but yet..here you are!
