Sean Duffy: Trump Avoiding The Georgia Senate Runoff Might Be The Best Thing For Republicans Right Now
Fox News contributor and former Wisconsin Congressman Sean Duffy joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to discuss Donald Trump’s expected 2024 presidential campaign announcement, and whether he thinks this would be a good thing for the Republican Party.
“I love Donald Trump and I love what he’s done for the country. But when you get a look at, it might be ineffective in winning races. And if you’re not being effective in winning races, whether it was in 2018 or 2020 or now in ’22, you have to say, okay, maybe I have to play this a little bit differently. And I think Donald Trump announcing, listen, he gets to make that call. That’s his decision. I do think, though, Herschel Walker and the guys in Georgia have to make a decision Is it helpful to bring Donald Trump in and do rallies for us and partake in in this Senate runoff, or is that hurtful? And if it’s hurtful, you’ve got to stay out and you’ve to listen to the people on the ground because they know the state and the electorate better than you do. And you’ve just got to listen to people and be willing to help if they want you, be willing to stay away if it’s going to hurt the chances of Walker. And I hope that Trump will do that.”
Sean also gives Jimmy his assessment of the midterm election results, and talks about why the GOP underperformed. To hear what else he had to say, listen to the podcast!
