Shannon Bream: Democrats Are Beginning To Realize They’ve Taken Certain Voting Blocs For Granted
Anchor of “Fox News Sunday” Shannon Bream joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to shed light on why the Republican Party is making gains among Black and Latino voters ahead of next month’s critical midterm elections.
“When you have prominent entertainers and people like Charlamagne Tha God and other radio host that are very prominent in the Black community asking tough questions of this president and vice president and saying, yes, we are struggling with the economy and all these other things too. Where have you showed up for us? I think that that sparks a very interesting conversation. And, you know, I think a lot of people were surprised to see the Latino vote show up as much as it did for President Trump. It’s not like you’re getting a majority of Latino voters, but you’re picking up a lot bigger numbers that you had in the past. And when you have a shift of five or 10 percent of any particular group, that could swing elections. And so I think Democrats are realizing that there is this feeling among some voting blocs that they’ve been taken for granted, and they’re going to need a real reason to show up for Democrats.”
Shannon also talks about how the issue of abortion has not motivated voters as much as Democrats initially hoped it would after the Supreme Court overturned Roe V. Wade in June. To hear what else she had to say, listen to the podcast!
