Laura Curran: My Defeat Should Have Been A Warning Sign For Democrats

Laura Curran, former Nassau County Executive, spoke to Brian Kilmeade about the New York Governor debate between Lee Zeldin and Kathy Hochul. Curran feels neither candidate changed voters minds who are in the middle. Curran, a democrat, believes her defeat in an off-year election should have been a warning for democrats, especially on how they handle crime. Curran says do not underestimate crime as a major issue for voters who have a primal and visceral need to be safe. Curran believes democrats got seduced by President Trump’s terrible poll numbers and Roe vs Wade, instead of the issues that voters care most about.

Curran also predicted that Republicans will take control of the senate with a 51-49 majority and expressed her support for Ukraine and America’s role defending democracy.
