Senator Marsha Blackburn: It’s Ridiculous For The Washington Post Claim A Recession Could Be Good For You
Tennessee Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to share her thoughts on a recent listicle published in The Washington Post titled, ‘7 ways a recession could be good for you financially’.
“That is one of the most ridiculous articles that I have ever seen. You know, it is The Washington Post saying, hey America, celebrate austerity. Celebrate being broke. Accept it, because it is going to lead you to utopia. And in the liberals’ mind, that utopia is people are the peasants and they the liberals are in charge. And what they are doing is they’re admitting, everybody knows it’s a recession. And when you can’t fill up the gas tank and the grocery cart in the same week, you know, this is not plentiful and it’s not a time of plenty. You know that this is a time of recession because you know that when the end of the month gets there, you have run out of money before that end of the month hits, and people are dipping into their savings that they had built up during the years of President Trump. And they’re having to spend it to make it to the next month, to make it to the next paycheck.”
Senator Blackburn also explains how President Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan is essentially a handout to rich people who hold advanced degrees. To hear what else she had to say, listen to the podcast!
