Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to explain why the Biden administration’s denial about the crisis at the U.S. Southern border prompted her state’s Governor Ron DeSantis recently decided to send 50 illegal migrants to Martha’s Vineyard.
“Mayorkas says the border is secure. Kamala Harris says the border is secure. The White House press secretary says this is not happening. People are not walking across the border. Well, I feel a responsibility as an attorney general who is actually litigating in court and putting their administration under oath, the heads of their administration, the chief of the Border Patrol, who is saying the exact opposite when they’re put under oath. The Border Patrol chief says, yes, this is a crisis. Yes, I have not seen anything like this in my 31 years. Yes, their policies are causing this. I mean, I could go on and on and on. But when confronted with this, they deny and they’ll also try to blame someone else. Watch. Any issue they will deny and they will try to blame someone else. So Kamala Harris just came out and said, we inherited a broken system. Trump dismantled the immigration system and we’ve been trying to build it back up. That is a lie. In our litigation, we have uncovered that they have purposefully cut down funding on detention facilities where they are supposed to, under law, detain and deport folks that are coming over illegally. They have allowed and encouraged more to come over illegally and allowed them to stay. It is absolutely their fault that we will see this year a record number of folks that have been detained illegally at the border. The numbers will dwarf the size of our some of our states.”
