Kevin Walling: Democrats Will Be In Trouble If The Midterms Are A Referendum On Biden’s Presidency
Democratic strategist Kevin Walling joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to shed light on why President Biden has recently been ramping up his attacks against former President Trump and the so-called MAGA Republicans in Congress.
“I think rightly you’re seeing this this pivot to, okay, don’t compare me to the almighty, compare me to the alternative. And, he’s really greasing Donald Trump and Donald Trump is loving it, obviously not so much the search of his home in Mar-a-Lago, but certainly being back in the national spotlight and having all of these Republicans, especially anyone who would potentially run against him in 2024, pledged fealty to him. And we know Donald Trump won more Republican votes than any Republican president in history. But Joe Biden won 8 million more. And this was a high turnout election, I think specifically in regards to Donald Trump. He’s a hugely polarizing figure, whether you love him or hate him, and there is not much in between. So I think what you’re seeing is the president making a calculation that as long as Donald Trump is in the news, Democrats are going to look pretty much a lot better comparatively.”
Kevin also shares his thoughts on some of the most competitive Senate races in the upcoming midterm elections. Listen to the podcast to hear what else he had to say!
