‘Completely Dishonest’: Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA) Fact-Checks Jon Stewart On Burn Pit Legislation

Pennsylvania Senator Pat Toomey (R-PA) joined the Guy Benson Show to fact-check comedian Jon Stewart over a proposed funding bill benefiting veterans.

Senator Toomey fact-checked Stewart over the legislation saying,

“But here’s the thing where he’s just being so dishonest. My amendment, if adopted, doesn’t change a penny of spending. What is it? There’s no end to the program in ten years. That is a complete. It completely made up the what all of this fund is. The change is just in government accounting. It’s how we account for it. If we call it discretionary spending, then there’s limits to other categories.”

Adding the characterizations from Stewart are completely wrong saying,

“It’s just completely dishonest. I mean, it’s just so wrong. It’s ridiculous.”
