“The Number One National Security Threat To The United States”

Today, President Biden is expected to make a phone call with Chinese leader Xi Jinping amid growing international tensions. Next month, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is expected to make a trip to Taiwan, an island nation that China considers its territory. China responded to these plans with threats of “firm and strong measures” if Pelosi proceeds with the visit. Retired four-star general, Chairman of the Institute for the Study of War, and FOX News Senior Strategic Analyst General Jack Keane joins the Rundown to discuss the nature of China’s threats, why he believes Pelosi’s visit is a good idea, and how tensions could potentially escalate into a military conflict.

Several U.S. airports are beginning to see pre-pandemic-sized crowds, as many Americans go on their first summer vacation since 2019. Though, as mass airline staff shortages cause flight cancellations and delays to impact thousands of flyers across the country, many are finding it challenging to reach their destination. As an increased number of vacationers opt to travel by car or private plane to avoid potential problems with air travel, airlines are hard at work attempting to put an end to issues caused by short staffing. Republic Airways Executive Vice President Matt Koscal joins the Rundown to explain why we’re seeing this mass shortage of airline employees and how Republic Airways’ Pilot Training Program, LIFT Academy, is working to put an end to this staffing issue and prevent similar situations from happening in the future.
